welcome to bietjiewater
Bietjiewater is located in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, in an area called de Tuin. The name was derived from a natural spring located somewhere higher up on the hillside.
This particular spring has had trickling water running alongside Landskroon crescent for many years and then in 2017, it suddenly stopped. From there the name Bietjiewater means literally “Almost no Water”

our story
Bietjiewater was established in 2021 but the name ‘Bietjiewater’ joined our family way back in 2017-2018 in the time when the Western Cape went through the toughest drought in 150 years.

At present Cape Town doesn't have water shortages, but the owners of Bietjiewater would still like you to use the available water with respect, as none of us knows if another drought might perhaps accrue in the near future.
